A Safe Space to
Heal, Connect,
and Thrive.
SIHA Wisconsin is a community-led coalition of Muslim women professionals advancing holistic health, mental wellness, and health equity โ through education, advocacy, and sisterhood.
Rooted in Community.
Driven by Purpose.
Breaking the stigma around mental health in Muslim communities through culturally responsive, trauma-informed education and open conversation.
Equipping community members with health knowledge and advocating for policies that center equity, inclusion, and culturally competent care.
Building the capacity of individuals and families to advocate for their own wellbeing โ mind, body, and spirit โ through sisterhood and shared resources.
Grounding our work in evidence while centering lived experience โ because data without community context misses the full picture.
Honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit โ including nature-based healing, Islamic wellness practices, and integrative approaches to health.
Connecting community members to health resources, professionals, and support networks โ making sure no one navigates the system alone.
A Coalition Built From the Community Up
SIHA Wisconsin was founded in 2018 by five Muslim women โ advocates, educators, and healthcare professionals โ who recognized a gap: our community needed safe, stigma-free spaces to address mental and physical health.
We are a grassroots nonprofit and cross-sector collaboration. Our unique strength is the integration of professional expertise with deep community roots โ we don't serve from a distance. We are with our community.
From guided nature hikes to civic education, from mental health workshops to interfaith partnerships โ everything we do is grounded in the belief that health is a right, not a privilege.
Where Community
Meets Healing
Nature & Wellness Gatherings
Guided hikes, outdoor reflections, and nature-based healing experiences โ connecting our community to the restorative power of the natural world through an Islamic lens. Open to sisters of all ages.
Mental Health Workshops
Culturally responsive, stigma-free workshops that create space to talk openly about anxiety, grief, stress, and emotional wellbeing โ led by Muslim health professionals.
Civic Health & Advocacy
Because health equity requires political power. We connect community wellbeing to civic engagement โ helping families understand how policy shapes health outcomes.
Youth Programming
Spaces for young Muslim girls to build social-emotional skills, explore identity, and develop healthy relationships โ grounded in Islamic values and peer connection.
